Variation 1 (JhansiSista recipe)
- In mutton, add ginger-garlic paste, Pasupu, dhaniya powder, red chilli powder, salt, garam masala, 1 tbsp oil, 1 cup curd. Mix and keep aside
- In the pressure cooker, heat some oil and fry some onions (should almost caramaelize like deep fried onions)
- In a mixie, grind the fried onions above along with tomato and some water. Keep aside.
- In the same cooker, heat some oil, and add long few elachi, chekka, lavang,bay leaves, slit onions, green chillies. Fru for a min. Add pasupu
- Now add mutton. Close with a plate (don't pressure cook yet) and let it cook for 10-15 mins on medium flame.
- Then add the fried onion paste, 1.5 small glasses of water, mint, cilantro.
- Close lid now and pressure cook for 5-6 whistles
