All You Need For Poori:
- 1 cup Wheat flour
- Salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- Mix wheat flour, salt, sugar and knead well with water to make a stiff dough. The dough should be stiffer than rotis (Roti dough is very soft)
- Add the oil in the end and knead again and close with a lid
- Let it rest for atleast 30 minutes (you can skip this step if you do not have time)
- Take a medium sized ball and roll it in a cylinder shape. Then cut small pieces from the cylindrical dough and keep them aside. Work on the entire dough this way and make small balls first.
- Take one small ball and press into a slightly thick disk (shoould not be very thin)
- Fry the disks in hot oil.
All You Need For Pitla:
- 1 big onion, cut into thin long slices
- 3 green chillies, cut length wise
- 3 big potatoes, boiled and mashed
- Popu - Avalu, Chana dal, Urad Dal, Curry leaves
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp Besan (optional)
- Heat oil and add popu along with green chillies
- Add Onions and fry for a minute
- Add the boiled and mashed alu along with salt
- Add water to your desired consistency and cook for few minutes
- Add besan at the very end, cook for a minute and turn off the stove.
- Serve with hot Pooris
