Majjiga Merapakayalu

 All You Need:

  • Mild Peppers (Shishito). Make sure they are straight 
  • Buttermilk
  • Salt
  • Lemon

The Recipe:

  • Make buttermilk (not very thick not very thin medium consistency). Add salt and 1 lemon.
  • Mix thoroughly. 
  • Slit the mirchis along the length and soak them in the buttermilk mixture for 8 hrs or overnight
  • Dry them in the sun (needs good sun). DO NOT discard the buttermilk mixture
  • In the evening, take the mirchis out and soak again in the same buttermilk mixture
  • Dry again in the sun the next day
  • Repeat till they completely dry and make a nice sound when you mix them
