All You Need:
The Recipe:
- Rice Flour 4 cups
- Salt
- Hing OR Ginger-garlic paste
- Ajwain seeds powder
- Jeera Powder
- Red Chilli Powder
- Turmeric to get a nice color
- Water boiling
- Small bowl of hot oil for dough
- Oil for deep fry
The Recipe:
- Mix all the dry ingredients
- Add boiling water and mix well
- Then add hot oil and mix well. Mixture will be crumbly at this point. Keep aside covering with a lid
- Take 2-3 scoops of mixture at a time in a separate bowl and mix with wet hands. Knead well until you get a soft smooth dough. Add this in muruku press and make the murukus in hot oil
- You may have to keep adjusting the flame throughout... also try and give a few minutes gap between batches for the oil to pickup strength
Tips:
1. Make sure the rice flour you use is not gluten free. I used the brand 'Aksar' from local Indian stores.
