All You Need:
- 1 cup Palli (groundnuts)
- 1 cup Jaggery
- Roast the groundnuts without oil on a pan. Once they cool, peel off the skins
- Take the jaggery in a thick vessel and very very little water (few drops). Cook in sim.
- Let the jaggery melt
- Grind some groundnuts coarsely
- Take a plate of water and keep aside
- Keep mixing the jaggery on the stove till you get muduru pakam
- How to check for muduru pakam -> Add a drop in the water plate and collect it together. It should form a firm ball, not a loose one.
- Keep mixing the jaggery mixture. Bubbles will come...they keep coming. Wait till you get muduru pakam
- Add groundnuts once done and transfer to a bowl
- Every 5 mins keep mixing the palli mixture
- Once it is lukewarm, start making laddus. Wet your hands if needed to make laddus.
