Methi Malai Matar (Paneer)

All You Need:
  • 2 Big sized Onions
  • Ginger
  • Garlic
  • Green Chillies
  • Jeera
  • Cashews
  • Methi (frozen or fresh)
  • Peas
  • Heavy Cream
  • Paneer pieces (optional)
The Recipe:
  • Grind -> Onions raw+Ginger+garlic+GChillies+Cumin seeds+Cashews. Make a good quantity of paste
  • Add lot of oil and add jeera followed by the paste. Cook till the raw smell disappears but make sure not to discolor the paste
  • Meanwhile, microwave methi for 2 minutes and keep aside
  • Microwave Peas for 1 min in a separate bowl and keep aside.
  • In the fried mix, add the methi first and let it cook for sometime
  • Then add Peas followed by 1.5 cups water. Let it bubble and boil.
  • Add heavy cream
  • If using paneer pieces, separately fry them in oil and add to the above
