Oats Dosa

Recipe 1

All You Need:
  • Urad Dal – 1 cup
  • Rice – 1 cup
  • Plain Oats – 2 cups
  • Methi seeds – 4-5
  • Chana Dal – 1 spoon
The Recipe:
  • Soak all the ingredients except Oats for 8 hrs
  • Soak the oats separately for 5-8 hrs
  • Grind all of them together and make a batter
  • No need to ferment. You can use it directly
Alternate Recipe:

All You Need:
  • Plain Oats - 1 cup dry roasted,cooled and ground
  • Sooji - 1.25 cups
  • Rice Flour - 3/4 cup
  • Maida - 1/4 cup
  • Salt
  • Green chillies - Finely chopped
  • Curry leaves
  • Cilantro
  • Buttermilk - 1/2 cup
  • Water as needed
The Recipe:
  • Mix all the above ingredients and let the batter sit for 30 mts - 1 hr. It might thicken after a while since rava absorbs water
  • at the time of making dosas,add more water such that it is of pouring consistency
  • Pre-heat an iron tawa on high for a minute. Sprinkle few drops of water such that it sizzles. Reduce heat to low
  • Make dosas like rava dosa
  • You can add grated coconut,carrot or kaju for a variation of this dosa
