Sorakaya Kootu

All You Need:
  • Lauki pieces cut in medium large cubes 1 cup
  • Moong Dal 6 tbsp
  • Turmeric
  • Green chillies
  • Cilantro
  • Pepper
  • Jeera
  • Coconut
  • Tadka -> Urad dal,Mustard seeds,Curry leaves,Hing,Jeera
The Recipe:
  • Pressure cook lauki pieces,Moong dal and haldi with enough water
  • Meanwhile, grind the Cilantro,greenchillies,Pepper,Jeera,Coconut into a paste and keep aside
  • In a tbsp of oil, add tadka and then add the Moong dal mixture and salt
  • After 5-6 mts, add the Cilantro mixture and switch off stove
  • Goes very well with Rotis
