Sambar

All You Need:
  • Vegetables of your choice (Radish,Drumstick,Lauki,capsicum,Brinjal etc)
  • Tomato pieces
  • Onions sliced (Optional)
  • Toor dal cooked
  • Curry leaves
  • Jaggery or sugar 1 tsp
  • Cilantro
  • Tamarind juice
  • Seasoning -> Heat a tbsp of oil and add mustard seeds,hing,fenugreek powder (little)
  • Sambar powder. Recipe here
The Recipe:
  • Half boil the vegetables in water adding tomatoes, onions and curry leaves
  • Add the Dal and tamarind juice along with salt and sugar. Add the needed amount of water
  • Then add Sambar powder and boil for 3-4 minutes
  • In the end add Cilantro and seasoning
