Meethi Mathri

All You Need:
  • Wheat Flour 1.5 cups
  • Sugar 1/4 cup
  • Milk 1/4 cup
  • Ghee 2tbsp
  • Pinch of salt
The Recipe:
  • Sieve the salt and flour together
  • In a pan, combine the sugar,milk,ghee and bring to a boil
  • Allow the sugar to dissolve and cool completely
  • Add this to flour mixture, a little at a time and knead into a firm dough
  • Divide it into 2 equal portions and roll out each portion into 2 squares that are 6 mm thick
  • Prick the surface with fork at regular intervals
  • Cut into diamonds and allow to dry out for 30 mts
  • Deep fry in hot oil over medium flame
