Dal Makhani

All You Need:
  • Toor dal 1.5 cups
  • Tomatoes
  • Haldi
  • Cilantro
  • Red Chilli Powder
  • Dhaniya Powder
  • Jeera
  • Mustard Seeds
  • Green chillies
  • Hing
  • Onions
The Recipe:
  • Boil toor dal along with tomatoes, haldi to a soft paste
  • In a pan, heat butter and add mustard seeds,jeera,green chillies,hing,curry leaves,onions
  • Fry till onions change color and add haldi, red chilli powder,Dhaniya powder,dal mix,cilantro,water and boil
  • Decorate with cream
  • You can add ginger-garlic paste while boiling too
Variation: Instead of toor dal, use black gram 1cup+Chana dal 1/2 cup+Rajma 1/4 cup. Soak for 8 hrs and then boil with tomatoes. Rest is the same.
