Ginger-Kothimeera Chutney


The Recipe:
  • Heat a tbsp of oil and add urad dal,chana dal
  • After they roast, add dhaniya seeds and toss for 20 secs
  • Add Redchillies and green chillies and saute for few secs
  • Add hing and immediately remove and keep aside
  • Heat a tbsp of oil and add 2 inch sliced ginger and saute till it turns red (3mts)
  • Add 1.5 cups Cilantro and saute for a minute
  • Grind the roasted dals first followed by sauteed ginger-cilantro along with grated coconut,tamarind pulp,jaggery,salt to a coarse paste and adding 1/4 cup water
  • Add tadka - Mustard seeds,Urad,Curry leaves
