All You Need:
- Aata 1.5 cups
- Jaggery 3/4 cup
- Grated dry coconut 1/4 cup
- Water 1/2 cup
- Sesame seeds 2 tsp
The Recipe:
- Make a stiff dough of the wheat flour with water
- Divide the dough into 8 portions
- Shape each in the shape of your fist and press with your fingers in the center of each portion to make an indent
- Heat ghee in a large kadai and deep fry the portions on a low flame for 25 mts till they are golden brown
- After they cool, pound in a mortar and pestle to coarse pieces
- Grind the pieces further to get a fine powder
- Heat 1 tbsp of ghee and add grated coconut,sesame seeds and saute for 2 mts
- Heat the jaggery with a spoon of ghee and spoon of water till the jaggery dissolves
- Mix the ground churma,coconut,sesame with the melted jaggery
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly
- Make 10 rounds and roll into poppy seeds
- Store in an air tight container
