All You Need:
- Rice Rava / Cracked Rice : 1/2 cup
- Water : 1.5 cups
- Chana Dal : 1 tbsp
- Cumin Seeds : 1/2 tsp
- Ghee : 1 tspSalt to taste
The Recipe:
- Soak the chana dal for 30 minutes and set aside.
- Heat a teaspoon of ghee in a heavy bottomed vessel and add the cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Now add the soaked chana dal and fry for a minute.
- Then add water and bring to a boil.
- Add the salt and rice rava to it and mix very well.
- Reduce the flame, cover with a lid and let it cook completely.
- Switch off the flame and allow it cool.
- Once cool, divide the rice rava mixture into a round balls.
- Steam cook the balls on medium flame for about 10 minutes.
- Switch off the flame and allow it cool.
