Bellam Appalu

All You Need:
  • Rice Flour : 1/2 cup
  • Wheat Flour : 1 cup
  • Well Powdered Jaggery : 1/3 cup (white jaggery is best)
  • Cardamom Powder : 1/2 tsp
  • Ghee
The Recipe:
  • Mix the rice flour, wheat flour, cardamom and ghee along with a pinch of salt
  • Dissolve jaggery in half a cup of water and add it to the flours
  • Mix well and add a small spoon of ghee in the end
  • Take small balls and flatten them and fry till golden brown
  • Do not put the hot appams on tissue paper as it tends to stick to it
