All You Need:
- Rice Flour : 1/2 cup
- Wheat Flour : 1 cup
- Well Powdered Jaggery : 1/3 cup (white jaggery is best)
- Cardamom Powder : 1/2 tsp
- Ghee
The Recipe:
- Mix the rice flour, wheat flour, cardamom and ghee along with a pinch of salt
- Dissolve jaggery in half a cup of water and add it to the flours
- Mix well and add a small spoon of ghee in the end
- Take small balls and flatten them and fry till golden brown
- Do not put the hot appams on tissue paper as it tends to stick to it
