- Pressure cook toor dal with haldi, little jeera and green chillies. Also pressure cook separately the cut green leaves (Spinach or Thotakoora) with little haldi.
- In 1 tbsp of oil, add mustard seeds, methi powder, hing, curry leaves,red chillies,and add the boiled leaf mixture.
- After it cooks for a while, add tamarind juice, rec chilli powder and some sugar. Let it cook for few minutes.
- Then in the end, add the boiled dal, salt. Mix well for 2 minutes and switch off stove.
The Recipe Variation 2:
- Pressure cook toor dal, green leaves,jeera, green chillies,red chilli powder,cilantro,onion, haldi,tamarind.
- Then in a kadai, in a spoon of hot oil, add mustard seeds, jeera, curry leaves,thinly sliced garlic and then add the boiled dal mixture and salt.
