All You Need
- 6 tbsp toor dal
- 3 tbsp moong dal
- Green chillies
- Chinthachiguru
- 1 small tomato
- Haldi
- Few onion slices
- Tadka - avalu, chana dal v little, methi powder vlittle, karepaku
The Recipe
- Boil toor dal and moong dal together along with few onion slices, green chillies and turmeric
- Hand pound few green chillies coarsely and keep aside
- Heat oil in a pan. Add tadka followed by chinthachiguru, tomato, karepaku, haldi, ground green chillies and choped cilantro. Add a small glass of water and let it cook on a low flame. Keep adding few tbsp of water as needed
- Once it is well cooked, add the dals and salt and a tsp of sugar. Let it simmer for sometime and turn off the stove.
