Chinthachiguru Pappu

 All You Need

  • 6 tbsp toor dal
  • 3 tbsp moong dal
  • Green chillies
  • Chinthachiguru
  • 1 small tomato
  • Haldi
  • Few onion slices
  • Tadka - avalu, chana dal v little, methi powder vlittle, karepaku 

The Recipe

  • Boil toor dal and moong dal together along with few onion slices, green chillies and turmeric
  • Hand pound few green chillies coarsely and keep aside
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add tadka followed by chinthachiguru, tomato, karepaku, haldi, ground green chillies and choped cilantro. Add a small glass of water and let it cook on a low flame. Keep adding few tbsp of water as needed
  • Once it is well cooked, add the dals and salt and a tsp of sugar. Let it simmer for sometime and turn off the stove.
