IP Veggie Pulao

The Recipe:

  • Pre soak basmati rice for atleast 15-20mins.
  • In saute mode Heat ghee and oil, add bay leaf, cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom, 1-2 tsp of cumin seeds and fennel seeds and fry them for few seconds.
  • Now add green chillies split ones, onions, peas and carrots ( do not add too much veggies) some salt and saute well.
  • When onions turn translucent, add chopped mint leaves ( be generous in adding mint leaves), gives super flavor and taste. Saute well
  • Then add in the soaked basmati rice alone (no water) and mix well with the spices for 2 minutes
  • Now pour water ( 1 cup rice : 1 cup water) and give it a mix.. 
  • Add required salt and taste at this stage, then 
  • Close the lid and set IP on manual high pressure for 12 mins.. QR right after 4 min.. Yummy Pulav ready to enjoy !!!! Happy IP cooking !!!
