All You Need:
- 1 cup of Quinoa
- 1 cup of old fashion oats
- 1/4th cup of cooked black beans
- 1/4th cup of sweet corn
- 1 big chopped red onion
- 2 medium chopped tomatoes
- Red chili powder to taste
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon of roasted Cummin powder
- 1/4th teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of garam masala (optional)
- 1 teaspoon of cooking oil
The Recipe:
- Boil quinoa with 2 cups of water for 20 minutes (1 use pressure cooker and cooked until 1 whistle).
- In pan, heat oil. add chopped onions, salt, turmeric powder, chili powder, tomato and fry until they are mashed.
- Then add cummin powder, garam masala powder and cook for few more minutes.
- Add cooked black beans and mash with potato masher.
- Then add corn and cook for 3-5 minutes, and then add cooked Quinoa, mix and stir until all the water is evaporated.
- Grind oats and make powder. Add little by little to the mix and make like dough.
- In a baking tray, make patties with the mix and bake for 15 minutes on each each at 350 deg F.
- Can be served with condiments or goes well in the sandwich.
