All You Need:
- Maida 2 cups
- Milk 1/3 cup
- Powdered Sugar 1/2 cup
- Ghee 1/4 cup
- Pinch of salt
- Elachi or Vanilla essence
- Heat milk in a microwave until warm
- Mix powdered sugar, ghee and elachi and stir till the sugar dissolves (use hands to mix)
- Add the maida and a pinch of salt. Slowly add the milk mixture and form a smooth dough (using a food processor is best).
- Cover and rest it for 20 minutes. The dough will continue to harden as the ghee starts to solidify.
- Make 4 balls and roll each ball into small chapathis (not too thin, not too thick). Cut the chapathi into a perfect circle using karanji spoon cutter.
- Deep fry till you get a golden brown color
- Let these cool completely so that they can turn crispy
- After they totally cool down, store in an air-tight container
