All You Need:
- Chana Dal 1 cup
- Raw Rice 1 tbsp
- Ginger
- Garlic v lil or Hing
- Green chillies
- Jeera
- Onions chopped
- Curry leaves
- Cilantro
- Salt
- Garam Masala
- Mint leaves (Optional)
The Recipe:
- Soak the dal and rice for 2 hrs
- Keep a fistful of Chana dal aside and grind the rest along with ginger,lil garlic or Hing,green chillies,jeera,mint leaves,Cilantro coarsely
- Add chopped onions,curry leaves,cilantro,salt and garam masala and mix well
- Add the remaining chana dal and mix well. Make flat patties and deep fry
Variation : Use Chana dal : Moong dal in 1 :1 ratio along with little rice and follow the same process as above
