Double ka Meetha

All You Need:
  • Bread loaf
  • Milk 1 litre
  • Sugar : water = 1:1
  • Chopped nuts
  • Elachi
The Recipe:
  • Cut each bread slice into 4 pieces and fry in ghee till golden brown
  • Make sugar syrup by adding water in the sugar and boil it for 15 mts
  • Add elachi,saffron dissolved in milk to the syrup
  • Boil milk till it is thickened
  • Arrange the fried bread pieces on a flat tray and sprinkle chopped nuts on them
  • Pour the sugar syrup,double cream and milk alternately over the bread while they are still hot
  • Refrigerate and serve
Variation: Instead of sugar syrup, you can use canned condensed milk
