All You Need:
- Bread loaf
- Milk 1 litre
- Sugar : water = 1:1
- Chopped nuts
- Elachi
The Recipe:
- Cut each bread slice into 4 pieces and fry in ghee till golden brown
- Make sugar syrup by adding water in the sugar and boil it for 15 mts
- Add elachi,saffron dissolved in milk to the syrup
- Boil milk till it is thickened
- Arrange the fried bread pieces on a flat tray and sprinkle chopped nuts on them
- Pour the sugar syrup,double cream and milk alternately over the bread while they are still hot
- Refrigerate and serve
Variation: Instead of sugar syrup, you can use canned condensed milk
