Biyyam Rotte (Akki Roti)

Recipe 1:
  • In Rice flour, add salt,Jeera,Red chilli powder,Coconut, water and make a dough like chapathi
  • Take a large ball and spread it on a greased kadai. Dip your hand in oil in between for easy spreading
  • Make a hole in the center
  • Roast on all sides by moving the pan on the fire. You need not reverse the side
 Recipe 2: (makes 10-12 rotis)
  • Take a wide bowl and add 1.5 cups rice flour first. 
  • Add Jeera, finely chopped onions,finely chopped ginger, finely chopped green chillies,grated carrot (optional),grated coconut (2 tbsp optional),coriander leaves,hing,salt, Also add 3-4 spoons of soaked poha
  • Add water to form a soft dough. Be careful in adding water, add it little by little.
  • Then take a polythene cover, drizzle a drop of oil and grease well. Pinch a small lemon sized ball and pat it on the polythene cover till very thin like chapathis
  • Heat dosa tawa and add the roti, drizzle oil and let it get cooked. Turn over otherside and allow it to cook well. Repeat this for all other rotis
Tip: Add 3-4 spoons of soaked poha to get a perfect texture
