All You Need:
- Cooked Rice : 2 cups
- Onion : 1 medium sized
- Roasted Peanuts : 1/4 cup
- Mustard Seeds : 1/2 tsp
- Cumin Seeds : 1/2 tsp
- Chana Dal : 1/2 tsp
- Urad Dal : 1/2 tsp
- Finely chopped green chillies : 2
- Dry red chillies : 2
- Turmeric Powder : 1/4 tsp
- Red Chilli Powder : 1/4 to 1/2 tsp
- Curry Leaves : 2 sprigs
- Hing
- Lemon Juice
The Recipe:
- Grind the roasted peanuts into a coarse powder and set aside.
- Heat a tablespoon of oil in a wok. Add the mustard seeds, chana dal, urad dal and cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Then add the hing, finely chopped green chillies, red chillies and curry leaves and fry for a few seconds.
- Add the chopped onion and fry until light brown color.
- Now add the cooked rice, turmeric powder, salt, peanuts powder and red chilli powder to it.
- Mix very well and fry for a few minutes.
- Then add the lemon juice and switch off the flame. Mix well and serve hot.
