Phodnicha Baath

All You Need:
  • Cooked Rice : 2 cups
  • Onion : 1 medium sized
  • Roasted Peanuts : 1/4 cup
  • Mustard Seeds : 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin Seeds : 1/2 tsp
  • Chana Dal : 1/2 tsp
  • Urad Dal : 1/2 tsp
  • Finely chopped green chillies : 2
  • Dry red chillies : 2
  • Turmeric Powder : 1/4 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder : 1/4 to 1/2 tsp
  • Curry Leaves : 2 sprigs
  • Hing
  • Lemon Juice
The Recipe:
  • Grind the roasted peanuts into a coarse powder and set aside.
  • Heat a tablespoon of oil in a wok. Add the mustard seeds, chana dal, urad dal and cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  • Then add the hing, finely chopped green chillies, red chillies and curry leaves and fry for a few seconds.
  • Add the chopped onion and fry until light brown color.
  • Now add the cooked rice, turmeric powder, salt, peanuts powder and red chilli powder to it.
  • Mix very well and fry for a few minutes.
  • Then add the lemon juice and switch off the flame. Mix well and serve hot.
