Gongura Pachadi

Instant Recipe with Green chillies or Red chillies:
  • In peanut oil, add methi seeds. Let it fry on sim for some time. Then add mustard seeds and lots and lots of green chillies OR red chillies (only one of the two). Keep aside
  • In the same pan, heat oil and fry gongura leaves till they come together. Let it cool
  • Grind popu first. Then add gongura, salt and grind (This takes a lot of salt since leaf is sour)
  • Grind onion pieces kacha pacha in a mortar pestle and add them to the pachadi.


Recipe (Long Term, nilava pachadi):
  • Wash and dry the gongura leaves. They have to be Completely dry. This is very very important 
  • Saute the leaves in oil and keep aside for 3 days
  • On the 3rd day, add little pasupu, roasted methi powder, red chilli powder, hing and salt and lots of oil
  • Whenever you want to eat, you can add crushed onions
