Bendakaya Pappulu Vepudu

All You Need:
  • Chopped Okra : 1 cup
  • Spicy Dalia Powder : 1 to 2 tbsp
  • Mustard Seeds : 1/2 tsp
  • Chana Dal : 1/2 tsp
  • Urad Dal : 1/2 tsp
  • Curry Leaves : 2 sprigs
  • Dried Red Chillies : 2
  • Haldi
The Recipe:
  • Wash and dry the okra, chop them into small pieces.
  • Heat a tablespoon of oil in a pan. Add the mustard seeds, chana dal and urad dal and let them splutter.
  • When the seeds stop tossing, add the curry leaves and red chillies and fry for a few seconds.N
  • Now add the chopped okra and turmeric powder and mix well. Fry for a few minutes and cover with a lid.
  • Let them cook on a low flame, stirring occasionally.
  • When it's done, add the spicy dalia powder and salt and fry for another 2 minutes.
