All You Need
- 1 cup Chana dal or Dalia
- 1 cup Urad dal
- 2 cups coconut powder (Optional)
- 1/2 cup Dhaniya
- 1/4 cup Jeera
- 2 handfuls red chillies
- 1 tsp oil
- Handful tamarind
- Sesame seeds
- 1 spoon sugar
- Tadka - Curry leaves, hing
The Recipe
- Dry roast Chana dal, urad dal and coconut powder separately.
- Grind this first and keep aside
- Fry the dhaniya, jeera , curry leaves together with 1 spoon of oil
- In the end add red chillies and sesame seeds
- Then tamarind and sugar
- Grind all ingredients together
- Add tadka in the end.
NOTE: You can skip the coconut powder too. Taste will be slightly different but its an amazing version as well. You can also substitute the Chana dal with Dalia (Putnalu)
