Tiranga Kesari

All You Need :
  • 3 cups Sooji
  • 3 cups milk
  • 3 cups water
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 tspn Cardamom powder
  • Orange food color
  • Green food color

Recipe Notes :
  • Dry roast Sooji first and keep aside. U may roast it in a spoon of ghee too.It is optional though.
  • Now take a pan and heat 1 cup milk and 1 cup water
  • After 2-3 minutes, add the sugar and cardamom powder
  • Let the sugar dissolve completely and when bubbles begin to appear add 1 cup Sooji slowly and mix so that no lumps are formed. Mix for a minute and switch off the stove.
  • Grease a plate and spread the sooji mixture on it.Once it cools down ,cut into desired shapes.
  • This process gives you the middle white color of our Tiranga Kesari.
  • To get Orange and Green colors, repeat the above process from step 2 except that u also add respective food colors along with sugar and cardamom.
