Vegetable Pulao

In the Cooker Recipe:
  • In 3 tbsp of hot oil, add Shajira, Cinnamon (chekka), Cloves (lavangam),Elachi,Dhaniya.
  • Then add methi leaves and then add cilantro, podina, ullaku in this order.
  • Then add onions, slit green chillies,ginger-garlic paste, haldi.
  • Then add veggies of your choice - carrots, peas, beans,potatoes, beetroot, gobi
  • Close lid and let is simmer for 5 mts.
  • Add masala powder in the end. Masala Powder -> Grind Cinnamon (chekka), Cloves (lavangam),Elachi,Dhaniya.
Directly On Stove Recipe

All You Need:

  • Masala items - Cinnamon,cloves,Bayleaf,Elachi powder
  • Mint leaves
  • Karepaku
  • Green Chillies
  • Onions
  • Ginger garlic paste
  • Chopped veggies
  • Basmathi Rice : Water = 1: 1.5

The Recipe:

  • Soak 1 cup Basmathi Rice for atleast 20 mins.
  • In a wide thick pan, heat oil and ghee. 
  • Add masala items listed above
  • Add mint leaves, karepaku, green chillies, onions and ginger garlic paste
  • Add finely chopped veggies...make sure to add green capsicum
  • Cook for few minutes and add 1.5 cups boiling water (Preheat water on a separate burner)
  • Add the soaked rice and salt. Cover lid and cook for 10-15 minutes.
