In the Cooker Recipe:
- In 3 tbsp of hot oil, add Shajira, Cinnamon (chekka), Cloves (lavangam),Elachi,Dhaniya.
- Then add methi leaves and then add cilantro, podina, ullaku in this order.
- Then add onions, slit green chillies,ginger-garlic paste, haldi.
- Then add veggies of your choice - carrots, peas, beans,potatoes, beetroot, gobi
- Close lid and let is simmer for 5 mts.
- Add masala powder in the end. Masala Powder -> Grind Cinnamon (chekka), Cloves (lavangam),Elachi,Dhaniya.
Directly On Stove Recipe
All You Need:
- Masala items - Cinnamon,cloves,Bayleaf,Elachi powder
- Mint leaves
- Karepaku
- Green Chillies
- Onions
- Ginger garlic paste
- Chopped veggies
- Basmathi Rice : Water = 1: 1.5
The Recipe:
- Soak 1 cup Basmathi Rice for atleast 20 mins.
- In a wide thick pan, heat oil and ghee.
- Add masala items listed above
- Add mint leaves, karepaku, green chillies, onions and ginger garlic paste
- Add finely chopped veggies...make sure to add green capsicum
- Cook for few minutes and add 1.5 cups boiling water (Preheat water on a separate burner)
- Add the soaked rice and salt. Cover lid and cook for 10-15 minutes.
